Appeal after vandals smash wing mirrors in car park

A motorist who left their car unattended for just half-an-hour in a Bungay car park returned to find both wing mirrors smashed and extensive damage to the rest of the vehicle.

The incident occurred at Outney Common car park between 9.30pm and 10.15pm on Friday, May 4.

A police spokesman said: “The victim went for a walk for about 30 minutes and when he returned he noticed his black Ford Fiesta had sustained damage, described as dents, to the bonnet and roof and both of the wing mirrors had been smashed.”

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has knowledge of it should contact Lowestoft police on 101 or call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting crime reference 37/24641/18.
