The Diss Guitar Ensemble is giving a concert at Holy Trinity Church in Bungay to raise money for the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) appeal.
The concert, which takes place at Holy Trinity, at 3pm this Sunday, June 10, will include works by Telemann, von Call, Fackler and Torroba as well as several pieces inspired by the music of Latin America.
The group of classical guitarists meet regularly at St Remigius Church in Roydon, near Diss to rehearse and share their passion for the instrument. Musical director is Rod Faulkner, who has performed professionally with the Colibri Quartet and now plays in the Colibri Duo with Valerie Hartzell.
At present the group performs up to four concerts a year, presenting a varied repertoire of pieces from the Renaissance and Baroque periods to the present day, featuring a mixture of ensembles, duets and solos.
Tickets are £5 on the door and interval refreshments will be available.
