Bungay play areas get a makeover

Trim trails have been installed at two Bungay play parks as part of the town councils on-going work to upgrade them.
Play parks had been a key focus of Judy Cloke during her year as town mayor which came to an end two weeks ago.
She was joined at the Wherry Road facility on Friday by other councillors and children to see the completed the work.
Better access to the play area was another aspect of its upgrading, with new wooden steps installed. Another trim trail has been erected at the Meadow Road play park as part of its upgrade.
The work has been made possible with money from the council’s Section 106 funding - money provided as a requirement from companies building houses in the town.
Mrs Cloke said: “The installation is the culmination of the hard work of everyone on our 106 working group during the year, and that I hope the two trim trails will be well used during the holidays. I’m pleased they were able to be completed as my year ended.”
Work has also gone on during the past year in improving the Outney Common play area by the river to make it more usable for families.
Further work is still to be done there.
