A new all-weather outdoor play area has been installed at St Edmund’s Catholic Primary School in Bungay.
The area has been built for the Reception pupils, and teacher Melissa Whyte said they are “absolutely delighted” with it.
“The new floor surface and canopy ensures that children of St Edmund’s are able to access an enriched early years curriculum both in the classroom and outdoors all year round,” she said.
“The children have loved observing the changes over the past few weeks, which have inspired the whole class to explore the job role and skills of builders! The children are relishing the opportunity to explore the outdoors everyday.”
Executive headteacher Veronica Short added: “Our reception classroom has now been extended so that our children enjoy a large attractive open space to work and play. Our parents are delighted with the extra space when visiting the children on Friday mornings. During this time they have the opportunity to work alongside their children in a happy and stimulating environment.”
