For the second year running the standard of the Bungay and District branch of the Royal British Legion has been selected to parade at the Festival of Remembrance in the Royal Albert hall next month.
The standard will be carried by bearer and branch secretary Bruce Firth-Clark.
Branch chairman Bob Honeywood said it was a great honour for the branch and made a fitting climax to what has been a busy summer which has seen the standard paraded at numerous events commemorating the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War.
“It really has been a thoroughly busy and enjoyable summer of events but it is always a great honour to represent both our branch and the town of Bungay.
“I know Bruce is immensely proud to represent us in London again. One just hopes he can make it back to Bungay in time for our own service of remembrance,” said Mr Honeywood.
