The Bungay Rotary Club held its 68th annual charter dinner at The Swan Hotel at Harleston on Friday, March 17.

The special evening was hosted by the club’s president Jonathan Watts, and was attended by 84 rotarians as well as many guests.

Assistant district governor Pat Webb proposed the toast to the Bungay club, and Mr Watts replied. Vice-president Michael Ingram proposed the toast to the guests, who included presidents from several neighgouring rotary clubs. The president of the Bungay Inner Wheel Club, Angela Leggett-Bond, responded.

There was a speech made by Mr Watts, and cartoonist Mark Reynolds entertained the many that attended by demonstrating how cartoons were created and drawn and how they could be changed by just a couple of strokes of the pen.

A raffle during the evening raised £400 raised for the Butterfly Thyroid Cancer Trust, which the president is supporting during his year of office.
