Bungay students win national awards for innovative design

School students from Bungay have won a number of national certificates in this year’s national ‘Starpack Awards’.
Students from Bungay High School have won a number of certificates in this year's national Starpack Awards.
The awards are the largest competition in the world for packaging design and encourage innovative ideas with potential in the food market.

Clinton Gillett, graphics teacher, said: "The competition is judged anonymously so students win on their own merits."
A-level design students had success in the food-to-go packaging brief to promote healthy eating for children.
Ciaran Hayes achieved a silver star in this category and Oliver Purllant achieved bronze.
In the save the ocean fun packaging with an important message brief, Lauren Calver achieved a bronze star for her children appeal dolphin bottle while Amy Currie and Henry Rush were highly commended.
Rocco Trudgill-Barra was highly commended in the reusable water bottle category.
