CaLM Festival returns for second year
PUBLISHED: 06:30 22 August 2015
CaLM Festival will be returning to The White Horse in Chedgrave next Sunday, August 30, following the success of the inaugural event last year.
The Chedgrave and Loddon Music festival (CaLM) is the brainchild of Duncan Gooch, Katrina Bowles and Simon Peck, landlord of the pub, who wanted to create a community music event that was suitable for all the family.
And this year’s festival promises to be even bigger and better.
Festival goers will be able to enjoy 14 different acts across two stages including Cash the UK’s most respected tribute to the country king Johnny Cash, Norwich four piece rock band Kepler, Sam Smith tribute act Joe Scripps, Norwich based all-female four piece band Young States and many more.
Visitors to the family focused festival will have the opportunity to bounce around in the Disco Dome or roll around the bowls green inside a Zorb. There will also be popcorn, candy floss and ice-creams available to purchase from the CaLM Candy Cabin.
The gates will open at 11am and the last act will finish at 11pm, followed by a firework display to conclude the festival.
Wristband tickets are available at the advance price of £8 from the festival website now and from The White Horse.
Children under 12 will be admitted free of charge but they can purchase a wristband for £3 to join in with all the CaLM Kids’ activities which will include dancing lessons, circus skills, creative crafts, and singing workshops, cumulating in a procession of the CaLM Kids to the stage at tea time to perform a popular disco classic with a CaLM twist live for the crowd’s enjoyment.
Disabled parking is available opposite the festival entrance at Langley Road Industrial Site and public parking is available on Norwich Road, on a first come, first served basis.
Local businesses wishing to sponsor the event and those wishing to volunteer at the festival are asked to contact the CaLM committee by emailing email@example.com.
