A man who survived cancer twice and became a face of a national campaign was invited to help re-open a store as a way to spread his inspirational story.
Tom Stevenson, 24, from Wymondham, was first diagnosed with a brain tumour in 1997 when three-years-old. Then in 2017, just two months after he had proposed to his girlfriend, now wife, Amy, Tom, then aged 22, had two seizures and was told his tumour had returned.
MORE: 'My second cancer fight after 20 years - and two months after proposing'He was supported through his intensive radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment by cancer charity CLIC Sargent, the current chosen charity partner of Morrisons.
After hearing about his miraculous story Sheryl Rumble, community champion of Morrisons in Beccles, invited him to represent the charity partnership and share his story when he cut the ribbon after the store's recent multi-million pound makeover.
Daniel Nerini, of CLIC Sargent, said: "Cancer turns families' lives upside down and it's so important that CLIC Sargent is there to provide all the support that they need."
