The founder of a charity which raises much-needed funds for sick and neglected animals living in rescue shelters has visited a Norfolk sanctuary to see how their donation has helped.
Andrea Gamby-Boulger, founder of Wetnose Animal Aid based in Kirby Cane, visited the PACT Animal Sanctuary in Hingham to see the hedgehog unit the charity had funded with a £1,350 donation.
The money for the unit was raised by Wetnose volunteer Jackie Talbot and Amanda Spooner, a Wetnose trustee.
Mrs Gamby-Boulger said: “I’m so pleased it arrived safely as it is a very special piece of equipment for the hedgehogs. They can be kept clean and the hedgehogs have more room and you can see inside, much better than a cat basket.
“Now all we have to do is raise more funds to buy another one to help Liam the manager, as PACT have 265 hedgehogs to look after in their wildlife hospital.”
