Child and dog rescued after getting trapped in car

Firefighters were called into action to rescue a child and a dog who had become trapped inside a car on a hot summers day.

At around 2.30pm this afternoon (Friday, July 20) fire crews were alerted to a child and dog trapped inside a car at Broome Pits car park near Bungay.

A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue service said: “One crew from Bungay quickly arrived at the scene and swiftly removed the child and dog from the vehicle.”

At this time it is not known how they came to be trapped inside the car.
