Teddy bears, their carers and parents enjoyed the Bungay Festival Teddy Bears’ Picnic at the castle hills on Saturday.
They turned up in large numbers, and were also joined by bunnies, elephants, the odd giraffe or two, cats, pandas and even a gannet. As well as their picnics, there were stalls and games to enjoy, and a bouncy castle.
It meant the hills were alive with the sound of children’s chatter and excitement - and that carried over afterwards to St Mary’s Church, where their favourite toys courageously took a zip wire ride from the top of the 90ft tower to the ground and back into the arms of their owners.
The well attended event was organised by the Bungay Baby and Toddler Group, jointly this year with St Edmund’s Parent and Toddler Group and SPACE in Ditchingham.
The Friends of St Mary’s Church once again organised the zip wire rides.
