A new store opening in Beccles has created 70 jobs with bosses looking for someone special to be guest of honour at the opening ceremony.
B&M, one of the UK’s fastest growing retailers, announced the move to the north Suffolk town after securing shop premises in Beccles.
The finishing touches are currently being made to the former Family Bargains on George Westwood Way with the new store opening on Friday, November 21, at 9am.
Store bosses are also giving a deserving member of the community the chance to be a VIP for the morning.
The search is on for a local hero to open the new B&M Home Store and Garden Centre.
Heroes can be nominated by friends, family or work colleagues and could be someone who makes life better for people in the area, works hard for a particular cause or is renowned for their charity work.
Darren Chapman, B&M’s store manager at Beccles, said: “We wanted a true VIP to officially open our new store and what better way than to ask customers to nominate those who make a real difference to people’s lives in and around Beccles.
“We’re not judging by age or the type of support, we just want someone who goes that extra mile and who we can give something back to for a change”.
Nominations are being accepted up to Friday, November 14, and can be e-mailed to communications@bmstores.co.uk or posted to Beccles Local Hero Search, B&M Retail LTD. Dakota Drive, Estuary Commerce Park, Speke, Liverpool L24 8RJ.
The worthy winner will also receive £250 worth of vouchers to spend in store.
