PEOPLE who want to get involved in their community but are not sure where to start are invited to visit the 'Get Involved' fair and learn about the wide range of roles available.

It takes place on Thursday, October 15, between 10.30am and 4pm in the council chamber at the Town Hall in Lowestoft.

A number of organisations will be recruiting on the day including neighbourhood watch, police specials, community responders and school governors.

There will also be advice and information from Waveney elections team and community development team.

The event forms part of Local Democracy Week (12 to 18 October), which aims to get people more involved with, and increase awareness of the organisations and services in Waveney that are working hard to change our communities for the better.
