Missing Norwich City fan with ‘very bad dementia’ found by police

A missing Norwich City fan suffering from dementia has been found by police.
David Aldred, 67, went missing from his home in Kemps Lane, Beccles, at around 9am this morning (Sunday, September 9).
Mr Aldred suffers from vascular dementia and his family grew increasingly worried for his safety.
His daughter Clare King said: “If he gets stressed out he could have a major stroke and die. When he is on his own he gets very anxious.”
At around 12pm police managed to track down Mr Aldred - who had walked down near a busy roads to nearby Gillingham.
He was returned home and reunited with his relieved family.
Lauren King, his granddaughter, said: “He was very confused and didn’t know where he was. Police found him and returned him.
“Thank you to everyone who shared the Facebook posts - the whole community was amazing.
“And thank you to the police for finding him.”
