Charity baker David Brown has announced the date for his first stall of 2018.
Mr Brown, of Burgh St Peter, has raised more than £67,000 for Help for Heroes with his late wife Pat, selling their homemade cakes and chutneys at various stalls and events.
And he will be back at Exchange Square in Beccles next Saturday, January 27, for his first stall of the new year.
Running from 8am to 2pm, Mr Brown will be selling more savouries than usual including individual sausage rolls, pork pies, beef pasties, lamb pasties and ploughman’s pasties.
He will also be offering family size beef and vegetable and chicken and bacon pies, along with a selection of homemade cakes.
The couple were inspired to start fundraising for Help for Heroes through their daughter Sally Williams, who has served in the army for more than 20 years. And each year a special Armed Forces Day event is held at their home, a traditional Mr Brown has kept going.
