Families are invited to an Easter egg hunt at Brooke House care home to celebrate Easter and to help residents feel part of their community.
The hunt, in Brooke Gardens, Brooke, from 3pm to 5pm on Saturday, March 31 will see children invited to meet the Easter bunny and bring in Easter bonnets they have been made to be judged alongside ones made by the residents, with a large Easter egg the prize for the best one.
Home manager Hayley Hirst said: “It’s important for our residents to feel part of their community so it’s great to invite people into the home for events like this.
“Our Easter egg hunt is always popular and we get a good attendance.”
Hot and cold drinks and cakes will be offered to people attending and, unless it rains, the Easter egg hunt will be held in the garden.
There will also be an opportunity to look around the home which was built as the grand residence of the Mackintosh chocolate family in the 1930s.
