Final decision on pool postponed

A FINAL decision on the future of the outdoor swimming pool in Beccles has been postponed to April 2.

Waveney District Council's community safety health and well-being scrutiny sub-committee was due to discuss the issue yesterday and put forward a recommendation to the cabinet later this month.

Waveney District Council's community safety health and well-being scrutiny sub-committee was due to discuss the issue yesterday and put forward a recommendation to the cabinet later this month.

But Friends of Beccles Open Air Swimming Pool said the date had been pushed back to allow Waveney and the town council to examine in depth the business plan created by the newly-formed Beccles Lido.
