Fire breaks out at Clays

Three fire crews were called to book printer Clays in Bungay this morning after a fire broke out in a binding machine.

The fire spread to a waste paper skip in a shed, away from the main factory, which is on Broad Street.

Three fire crews were called to book printer Clays in Bungay this morning after a fire broke out in a binding machine.

The fire spread to a waste paper skip in a shed, away from the main factory, which is on Broad Street.

No-one was injured in the fire, which started at 7am. It is not known whether workers were evacuated.

Crews used breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera, and were still damping down at 8.50am.
