Firefighters rush to battle Brampton blaze

Firefighters are rushing to the scene of a large field fire in Brampton.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue said they are on the scene of a fire on Low Road in Brampton, after a call at 3.30pm.

Units from Lowestoft South, Beccles, Southwold and Wrentham and two from Leiston are attending the blaze.

A spokesman for the fire said approximately 8 acres of a grass field is alight with five vehicles currently in attendance and hose reels and fire beaters being used to tackle the fire.
