The newspaper’s list of the ‘15 best English still wines’ said Bacchus 2017 - produced at Flint Vineyard in Earsham - was the ‘Best Buy’ for 2018, seeing off competition from a host the country’s top wine producers.

Writer Katie Hilpern’s review called Bacchus a “stunning white with punchy tropical aromas of lime and passion fruit and a crisp, clean taste that goes beautifully with smoked and spicy dishes, as well as barbecues.”

Flint’s 2016 offering of the pinot blanc also gained widespread recognition, winning East Anglian Wine of the Year for 2017.

Over the past month, the vineyard has also picked up four international awards, winning medals at the International Wine Challenge (IWC) and the International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC) for its Rosé and Pinot Noir Précoce.
