A flood alert has been issued for the River Waveney.
The Environment Agency has this afternoon issued the warning for the river, from Ellingham to Breydon Water, with particular problems suspected at Beccles Quay and between Beccles and Ellingham.
A spokesman said that a high tide was expected at Great Yarmouth at 9.27pm.
They said: 'Flooding is expected at Beccles Quay and between Beccles and Ellingham. The flooding is caused by the combined effect of weekend rainfall draining down the river meeting a spring tide progressing up river.'
