MEMBERS of the Waveney Flying Group are holding a special event this summer to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
The group which is based at Seething Airfield, near Loddon, was set up by the late James Hoseason with the intention of making flying affordable to as many people as possible.
Fifty years on Seething Airfield continues to be a popular base for both flying and pilot training and is run on a professional but non-commercial basis.
On Saturday June 5 the Waveney Flying Froup is organising a student and members' reunion and would like any of its former members to get in touch.
The event will include the dedication of a new hangar in the name of James Hoseason who died a few months ago.
The group will also be staging its popular charity airday on September 12 which will include spectacular aerial displays and aerobatics. Funds will be raised for the East Anglian Air Ambulance and the Help for Heroes charity.
Any former members or students who would like to attend the reunion should contact Alan Youngs at Seething Airfield on 01508 550453 or email 50@seething-airfield.com
