THIS year's dates have been announced for a popular annual music festival in Halesworth.
Gig in the Park, which has grown in popularity and has become an important date in the town's calendar, will take place on August 6, 7 and 8 at Halesworth Town Park.
Last year's event featured 70 acts, including Cockney legends Chas and Dave and Squeeze star Glenn Tilbrook. Thousands of music lovers enjoyed a festival full of sunshine and live music. The event saw record-breaking crowds head to the park to enjoy the festival, which boasted three stages for the first time in its 12-year history.
Organisers of Gig in the Park, a community event aimed at promoting live music, are supported greatly by local people who give their time free of charge and businesses that make contributions to help keep ticket prices to a minimum.
