SUFFOLK County Council has been given a Green Apple award for environmental best practice to recognise its successful recycling projects. Nine schemes around the county have been funded by a reuse and recycling grant this year, including projects to refurnish and redistribute second-hand furniture, the promotion of reusable nappies and a community gardening project that composts waste from unmanaged gardens.
