A flood warning is no longer in force in Halesworth and the surrounding area, despite earlier concerns about rising river levels.
The Environment Agency gave the warning this morning for the Chediston watercourse after persistent heavy rainfall, which resulted in higher river levels than normal in the village of Wissett.
River levels are now steadily falling, but still remain quite high in some locations.
The forecast is for a further period of unsettled weather with rain expected throughout the night.
The situation is being monitored closely by the Environment Agency.
