A charity is appealing for public votes to secure up to £7,000 and enhance its current services.
Halesworth Volunteer Centre, in London Road, has been shortlisted in the Hopkins Homes Suffolk Charity Vote.
The public are being asked to vote from a choice of seven organisations with the top three receiving donations of £7,000, £2,000 or £1,000 respectively.
Centre manager Emma Healey said: “The vote is a fantastic opportunity for us to galvanise support from local residents for our work.
“We welcome any additional funding and should we be awarded the £7,000, we will use it to our extend our fantastic new project Isolation Busters, helping more people who live alone with trips out, the chance to sit and chat or even go for a walk with Jensen or Cody, our isolation busting volunteer dogs.”
Halesworth Volunteer Centre has been supporting vulnerable people in the Blyth valley for more than 30 years.
Its volunteer drivers complete almost 1,000 journeys each month, including hospital visits and weekly shops.
