DROP-in sessions are being held to help people have their say about planned changes at Suffolk fire and rescue service.

A consultation is already under way, and events are being organised to give people more information.

Andy Fry, chief fire officer, said: “In this consultation we want to explore how we could make changes to the full-time shift systems we operate, in order to release sufficient resources to improve the availability of fire engines crewed by part-time firefighters across the county, and to improve the training for all of our firefighters, part-time and full-time.”

The drop-in sessions are being held in the Britten Centre, Lowestoft, on April 14, from 2pm to 4pm, and at Lowestoft's south fire station on Stradbroke Road on the same day from 5.30pm to 8pm.
