HOUSEHOLDERS, schools and businesses in a Bungay street have been challenged to slash their waste by half during a single fortnightly collection period.
Occupants of Hillside Road East are being sent letters this week from the Suffolk Waste Partnership, after being selected to take part in the project in March, which will involve seven streets across the county.
Participation in the project is voluntary and community awards will be given for the best performing streets and the most enthusiastic participants. Waste reduction advisers will advise them on the best ways to reduce on waste.
