HOUSEHOLDERS living in Loddon and the South Norfolk area are being reminded to look after their homes and vehicles as the warmer weather and lighter evenings approach.
HOUSEHOLDERS living in Loddon and the South Norfolk area are being reminded to look after their homes and vehicles as the warmer weather and lighter evenings approach.
Officers are advising people to pay extra attention to security to avoid being a victim of crime.
Wymondham, Hethersett and Mulbarton, Loddon and Poringland Inspector James Brown said: “As we approach the summer months people will be outside enjoying the weather more. I would like to remind people to remember to close windows and doors if going out, and to lock front doors if they are outside in their back garden.
“South Norfolk is an extremely safe place to live but please remember to put garden equipment such as furniture, cycles and toys away safe at the end of the day, to keep them secure.”

Norfolk Constabulary advices that attention should be paid to the security of sheds and garages and to the property stored within.
Householders are reminded to keep windows and doors locked and secure at all times, whether they are inside or outside the home.

People should also mark their belongings, which will make them less attractive to steal and make it more difficult for them to be sold on.
The police also advise people to be good neighbours. If anyone is spotted acting suspiciously in your neighbourhood, call the police.
