Heavy horses, vintage cars and a range of farming activities kept hundreds of spectators entertained at a Suffolk plough day.

The plough day and country fayre at Brampton took place on Sunday for the 23rd year running and attracted an appreciative audience who enjoyed a traditional ploughing competition, threshing, steam engines and a novelty dog show.

Children were delighted by a zumba dancing display, dog agility team, the Reydon and Southwold Corps of Drums and a signing choir.

The event was in aid of the Sandra Chapman Unit at the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston.

A spokesman for the event said: “We had a fabulous day with great weather and a large crowd. There was plenty of skilful ploughing and lots of attractions to keep everyone happy.”
