A FARM worker was killed after a hydraulic hose hit him in the face, an inquest heard yesterday. Robert Henderson died from a head injury while working at Grove Farm, Stockton, near Beccles, on Saturday- the day before his 50th birthday.
A FARM worker was killed after a hydraulic hose hit him in the face, an inquest heard yesterday. Robert Henderson died from a head injury while working at Grove Farm, Stockton, near Beccles, on Saturday- the day before his 50th birthday.
An inquest into the death was opened and adjourned by Greater Norfolk coroner William Armstrong and was told Mr Henderson, from Beccles, was trying to transfer oxygen from one cylinder to another when the accident happened. He had been in an outbuilding using a mini welding or cutting set when a joint separated from one of the cylinders and the hose struck him in the face.
The Health and Safety Executive are investigating the accident.
