A CELEBRATION of 90 years of the Royal Air Force was held at the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum yesterday.

About 3,500 visitors flocked to the museum at Flixton, near Bungay, and were given the opportunity to reminisce against the backdrop of famous old aircraft and vehicles during the event organised by the Diss and District Royal Air Forces Association.

Members proudly wore their uniforms while others donned old-style war-time outfits to add to the occasion at the Salute to the Royal Air Force event, which gave visitors free entry.

Aircraft including the Stearman and RAF rescue helicopter took to the skies to delight the crowds below while there was plenty of musical entertainment on hand.
