Man hospitalised after Brampton crash

A 44-YEAR-old man was taken to hospital with a suspected fractured arm or wrist after the sewerage lorry he was driving collided with a tree in icy conditions.

The crash happened on the A145 London Road at Brampton, near Beccles, shortly after 3am today, Friday, November 26.

Fire crews from Halesworth, Wrentham, Lowestoft and Loddon were called to the scene following reports the driver was trapped.

An ambulance service spokesman said the driver was taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment.
