This weekend the East Anglian Group of Marine Artists will be taking over Raveningham hall to exhibit their work and raise money for the RNLI.

The group is a small collection of professional and semi-professional artists with "a shared enthusiasm for depicting marine subjects".

They often meet by the water around the region for painting days, even on members' boats at times.

Since 1979 the club has been working on their art together, and putting on a number of exhibits.

Their latest exhibition starts this Friday, October 4, from 7.30-9pm.

The exhibition will also be open all day Saturday and Sunday, and will see donations made to the RNLI.

Russell Foster, 92, said: "We're taking a small percentage of the profits form the sales of the paintings, but the rest is all for the lifeboats."
