After some wet weather of late, the sun shone on the cricketers and several sides took full advantage, writes Mike Ridout.

In Division One questions are being asked if anyone can beat Happisburgh as they completed an unbeaten first half of the season, defeating Belton, to remain top. Blundeston remain their nearest challengers as Mark Ingram made 61 in their victory over Great Yarmouth. Matt Hayes scored 80, and Tom Segalo 53 in Cringleford Lodge's win against Kirkley and Lowestoft Railway. After three defeats, Felthorpe returned to winning ways against Caister.

In Division Two Eaton returned to the top, chasing down 220 against Ketteringham Hall in only 34 overs. Michael Barker hit 74 while Sam Butcher and Matt Duke both finished with unbeaten half centuries. Saxlingham were shocked by Garboldisham B who scored more than 300 thanks mainly to Lewis Taylor's 142. They made a good fist of getting the runs, falling 16 short. Even closer was Drayton's (Andy Hawes 108) victory by three runs over Bystanders (Andy Huggins 104). Sprowston B's Laurie Ollerton made 103 not out as they posted 245-8. St Andrews chased hard, but fell short despite Andy Scales' 136.

Ankit Shah returned figures of 4-8 as Felthorpe A beat Aylsham St Giles in 3E. Bungay's Alfie James scored 50 but Gillingham's Jordan Barker struck 100 to ensure his side remain top. In the battle for second, Steve Munday took 5-10, and Jake Zelos 4-9 meaning Overstrand only had to chase down 65 to win against Winterton A. In 3W Great Melton C's Stuart Wilson took 4-9 as they comfortably saw off Hethersett and Tas Valley B. Neville Harris made 60 as Hardingham A beat North Elmham. Swanton Morley's victory was built around 99 from James Ware and 5-33 from Jacob Seed. Hingham (Steve Guy 121) fell just short.

In 4E Lowestoft B went past 350 thanks to 170 from David Brown. And Matt Todd (14) achieved a hat-trick as Winterton B defeated Rollesby A. In 4W Great Ellingham went past 300 to retain top spot as they defeated Old Catton B whilst at New Buckenham Ashley Ling made 54 and Dave Smith took 5-26 as they defeated Garboldisham C. However, Halvergate remain unbeaten to lead the table.

In 5E Brooke B (Will Oakey, 99) beat Diss B while Southwold comfortably beat Hardingham B to keep the pressure on leaders Beeston who won against North Walsham. In 5W Old Buckenham C hit 390 with both John Lund and Lee Bartlett making hundreds to beat Beeston A. Thornham's Kev Williamson made 129no and Peter O'Connor took 5-45 as they beat Dereham B. Mundford A's juniors came to the party, Matt Smith (17) making 91 and Ben Hayden (15) making 71 as they overcame North Elmham A for whom Phil Bend took 5-23.
