A Beccles school is set to host its first novelty dog show.

The event will be held at Beccles Free School in Castle Hill on Saturday, June 23, with a variety of classes to show off your pooches.

They will include best veteran for dogs seven years and older, best dog in fancy dress, most handsome dog, prettiest bitch, sausage, sit and leave, best six legs and child handler open to those under 10.

All first placed dogs will compete in the champion class and there will be lots of prizes and rosettes to be won.

Entries will be taken on the day at £1.50 per class.

Refreshments will also be available and funds raised will go to Meadow Green Dog Rescue Centre in Hales and Beccles Free School.

The dog show will run from 10.30am to 2.30pm and admission is free.
