POLICE are making a fresh appeal for witnesses to an assault on a teenager in Loddon.

The 16-year-old victim was walking along Leman Grove at around 9.15pm on Saturday, September 27, when a man asked him for a cigarette. When the boy declined the man assaulted him, leaving him with minor injuries to his stomach, and ran off towards Hobart High School and Kittens Lane.

The man is described as white, 6ft, with spiked hair and stubble on his face. He was wearing a black hooded top with a Lonsdale logo on the front and dark Nike tracksuit bottoms tucked into his socks.
