Police plea for help after fatal crash
A 15-year-old girl who died from head injuries after a crash on the A143 Beccles Road at Fritton, near Yarmouth, has been named as Emily Knipe of Hopton.
A 15-year-old girl who died from head injuries after a crash on the A143 Beccles Road at Fritton, near Yarmouth, has been named as Emily Knipe of Hopton.
Acle road policing officers are appealing for witnesses to the collision that took place at 8.36am on Sunday close to the entrance of Cherry Lane Garden Centre.
A white Vauxhall Corsa van, which had been travelling towards Belton, was in collision with the nearside verge before heading over the opposite lane and colliding with a tree.
The 19-year-old male driver, from Hopton, received serious head and internal injuries and remains in the James Paget University Hospital, Gorleston, in a critical condition. A 14-year-old female passenger, also from the Hopton area, received minor injuries.

Miss Knipe, who was also travelling in the van, received serious head injuries and died shortly after the collision at the James Paget Hospital.
