THE Bear and Bells pub and restaurant in Beccles, which closed shortly before Christmas, is set to reopen within the next two weeks.After shutting on Wednesday, December 16, new managers for the popular town centre pub have now been found.
THE Bear and Bells pub and restaurant in Beccles, which closed shortly before Christmas, is set to reopen within the next two weeks.
After shutting on Wednesday, December 16, new managers for the popular town centre pub have now been found.
Kevin Allibone, who has run The Bell in St Olaves for many years and is the new landlord at The Plough in Blundeston, has taken up the lease.
Mr Allibone and Enterprise Inns are currently working on getting the pub reopened, repainting the premises and sorting out electrical problems.
It is hoped that the pub will reopen a week on Monday at the very latest.
