The organisers of the Beccles Open Gardens and Spaces event held a thank you afternoon at St Michael’s Church in Beccles last week for all those who took part.

Organisers thanked garden owners, event sponsors and supporters and awarded prizes to the winners of the garden quiz, along with the winners of the fancy dress and golden stamp competition, who were Kieron Downes and Serena Goulbourne, both from Beccles.

The event raised £2,000 which will be shared between the Beccles Museum and the Friends of St Michael’s for their building restoration appeal.

Next year’s Beccles Open Gardens and Spaces event will take place on July 4.

Anyone interested in taking part in any capacity is invited to email the organisers at becclesog@gmail.com
