A women's institute has proudly celebrated their centenary year with a congraulatory letter from the Queen.
Ditchingham WI marked their 100th year this year with a host of meetings welcoming various local organisations to the group.
The group’s birthday meeting, in August, featured a talk by speaker Mark Mitchell and was attended by more than 100 members from neighbouring institutes.
At the meeting, group president Sue Huggins confirmed she had received a letter from the Queen congratulating Ditchingham WI on their 100 years.
The regular meetings throughout the group’s centenary year have included Blood Bikes, Norfolk First Fire Women and The Red Barn Murder.
Members also took part in a flower arrangement workshop, as well as welcoming members from nearby local institutes for a party afternoon, and will conclude next month with John E Vigar’s Murder, Sex and Mayhem in English Churches talk on November 14 from 2pm.
The group will also host a farm walk later this month, before finishing the year with a Christmas meal.
