Carol Davies visited the Beccles and Bungay Journal office this week to provide some information on the Beccles town sign photo above following an appeal in the paper earlier this month.
Mrs Davies said the man in the photo is Henry Boyce, the father of Richard Boyce who owned the builders H T Boyce & Sons in Caxton Road, Beccles.
Mrs Davies’ husband Richard worked for the company for 20 years.
She recognised the workshop in the photograph, which was found in our archives and dated back to the 1950s.
