A date has been set for this year’s Beccles Annual Town Meeting.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 24, at Beccles Town Hall from 7pm.
Mayor Richard Stubbings said: “Anyone on the electoral role of Beccles is welcome to attend this meeting and it is a good opportunity for the community to raise issues, ask questions and put forward suggestions and ideas to make our town a better place to live in and visit.
“At this meeting, the town council cannot make decisions, instead it is an opportunity to listen to the views of the public which can then be considered at an appropriate council committee or full council meeting. This is also an opportunity to hear about the work of the town council and other local organisations supported by the council.”
Town clerk Claire Boyne said it is helpful to have advance notice of any questions due to be raised, and they can be sent via email to admin@beccles.info or by post to Beccles Town Council, Town Hall, The Walk, Beccles, NR34 9AJ. Questions need to arrive by Friday, April 13.
