A146 reopens after four-vehicle crash

A busy road has reopened after a four-vehicle early morning crash.
The collision happened near Beccles on the A146 Norwich Road between Rectory Road in Stockton and the Beccles Road in Hales.
It affected traffic between Lowestoft and Norwich and happened just after 5.45am on Thursday, September 17.
A Norfolk Police press office spokesperson said the road reopened at 7.45am and passengers and drivers involved suffered minor injuries.
She added the crash involved a Skoda, Ford Focus, BMW and Volkswagen Golf.
Three crews of firefighters including from Beccles and Carrow attended the emergency and left the scene at 6.30am.
Paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) were also called and took one person to hospital as a precaution, according to the police spokesperson.
A spokesperson for the EEAST said three ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle were sent to a multiple vehicle road traffic collision shortly after 6am.
Three people were checked over by paramedics and one man was transported to James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston for further assessment and care.
