Warning of possible delays as road is closed and traffic diverted

A rural road has been closed and traffic is being diverted as emergency repair work is carried out.
Motorists are being warned that delays are likely as the work is taking place on Chapel Road in Mutford, and it is scheduled to last for three days.
With Essex And Suffolk Water carrying out the work between Tuesday, September 17 and Thursday, September 19, a section of the road is closed and traffic is being diverted.
According to the Suffolk Roadworks map, "delays are likely" while the work is carried out.
It states that "traffic restrictions" are in place on Chapel Road as the road has been closed to "repair burst main in verge" and other associated works.
With the work taking place near to Ayers Acres, a diversion route of 6.4km will be in operation throughout the works, but access to pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times
