The leg warmers were out and the dancing shoes were on for youngsters at Crowfoot Community Primary School.

The Beccles school combined its summer fair with a national event called Dress up and Dance - an idea which pupils came up with in learning council.

Pupils and staff dressed up as legends or in bright colours and joined together to dance, performing a routine choreographed by teachers Emma Block and Molly Griffin to the song Uptown Funk, with £141.88 raised for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Heather Thorne, headteacher at the School, said: “What a fantastic event. The atmosphere was brilliant and everyone joined in well. We have had very positive feedback from parents, children and staff.”

Cakes, ice creams, a bouncy castle and face painting were popular at the fete, with each class running their own stall with money raised from the day going back to each class.

Music was provided by two members of staff, Jem Stevens and Deby Ruddock.

The school would like to thank all businesses that contributed and supported the fair and the Friends of Crowfoot who arranged the event.
