Ringsfield Primary School is celebrating this week after being awarded a grant for over £1,000 to buy new school books.
The school applied for the grant from The Adnams Charity to enable them to replenish the library and refresh class reading schemes.
A spokesman from the school said: “Through Adnams’ generosity we were able to purchase a wide range of books, for example a collection specifically targeted at boys to nurture their love of reading, inspirational biographies focusing on scientists, world leaders and historians, plus a new set of atlases and globes for each class.”
She added that the range of fiction and non-fiction books would help invigorate lessons and supplement pupils’ love of reading and learning.
