THE first flurries of snow fell over Suffolk this morning and were predicted to continue during the day.
But the snowfall was not expected to be as substantial as that which closed schools and bought traffic chaos at the beginning of the year.
John Law, a forecaster with Norwich-based Weatherquest, said the temperature overnight had been about 1C although it could have reached freezing in some isolated areas.
That was expected to rise to 3C during the day.
