Police offer discount on security system after two convictions

A police force is offering people a discount on a security system for their home in a bid to stop burglaries.
Suffolk Constabulary have teamed up with Ring to give residents in Lowestoft, Beccles and Bungay £40 off the device.
Ring is a doorbell and camera that allows homeowners to see who is at their door or monitor anyone who approaches the house while they are away.
It uses a camera and microphone to allow users to view and talk to people with updates sent to a phone when the camera is triggered or someone rings the door.
The force says that Ring has proved to be an effective devices with footage leading to two convictions in the last year.
Lowestoft Police said; “Are you Interested in getting a ring doorbell?
“If so Suffolk Constabulary are offering a discount which will help you get a little money off some of their camera Doorbells.”
